Plein Air
Thank you for visiting my website. If you are interested in purchasing my paintings, please email me. I use paypal and will accept checks for the exact amount of the painting, shipping and tax only.

You may also see some of my paintings in Rapid City, SD, at Reflections of SD Fine Art Gallery or in Hill City, SD at Dakota Nature and Art.

I have been living in Rapid City since 1992. I have an Associate of Fine Art degree from County College of Morris and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Sciences from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

I love painting the beauty of the Black Hills and Prairies as well as the might and majesty of the Bison. I strive to bring beauty and depth to her paintings and I paint primarily in oils with occasional forays into watercolor.

You will often find me plein air painting - or painting outside on location. Plein air painting is a fun challenge because the artist has to paint quickly with rapidly changing light and atmospheric conditions.

I enjoy sharing my artistic knowledge with others. I teach art to homeschool students through a homeschool coop and I teach classes at the Dahl Art Center in Rapid City. I am also a teacher with the Teaching Artist Program (TAP) which brings art instruction into elementary schools through a joint effort between the Sculpture Project: Passage of Wind and Water (Main Street Square in RC) and the Rapid City Arts Council.

In my spare time, I enjoy trying to learn the cello, homeschooling my children, gardening and spending time in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
